A Tea Tree is generally watered every 3-5 days. Overwatering can affect the growth of its root system and the quality of the leaves. Water should be increased or decreased appropriately based on its growth cycle and weather conditions. Note that when watering a tea tree in summer, avoid the hottest part of the day; early morning or evening is the most suitable time for watering.
During the tea tree seedling stage, after Transplanting, the root system sustains significant damage, so timely watering is necessary. Depending on the weather, water every 3-10 days. Once summer arrives, particularly during the high-temperature months of July and August, watering should be more frequent to keep the Soil moist.
How to maintain a tea tree normally?
1. Prune appropriately
Prune poorly growing or densely packed branches and leaves to ensure good air circulation. Also, prune overgrown, dried, or damaged branches and leaves.
2. Provide proper lighting
During maintenance, place the tea tree in a sunny environment to allow the plant to undergo normal photosynthesis and store sufficient nutrients.
3. Soil
A tea tree prefers slightly acidic humus sandy soil. Using such soil not only provides rich nutrients but also ensures good drainage and aeration, allowing the roots of the tea tree to grow stronger.
